ACCG and the Rail

The Association County Commissioners of Georgia has some interesting things to say about the proposed commuter rail. According to ACCG the rail...
"In a nutshell, the Georgia Rail Passenger Authority is going to get a passenger train into which the state puts federal funds and such state funds as it can find. All of the decisions will be made by the state albeit with consultation with the local community, and any operating deficits become the responsibility of county or counties involved. As important as alternative transportion are, this specific approach and contract does not seem to be in the best interest of county property taxpayers in Clayton, Henry and Spalding Counties."
Henry County is a member of ACCG. I wonder if Jason Harper has seen this report...
